Access to high quality training is an essential component of the successful development of student charity, volunteering and community groups. As a result, at Student Hubs we offer a wide variety of training opportunities for students across our network and beyond. This training is always tailored to the needs of our audience, be they student volunteers, campaigners, project coordinators or committee members.

Training opportunities include:

  • Project Management
  • Productivity
  • Organising and Planning Events
  • Public Speaking and Presentation
  • Fundraising
  • Website Management
  • Financial Management
  • Branding and Marketing
  • Communications
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Child safeguarding
  • First Aid
  • Leadership skills

We also offer a comprehensive training programme as part of our annual national Ethical Internships scheme. See the Social Enterprise, International Development, Ethical Careers and Environment and Sustainability sections of the website for resources specific to those areas.

To access these opportunities, contact our local Hubs directly by clicking here. We also have a bank of resources available for student groups and projects - if you would like to access these, please contact your local Hub or email alice.thornton@studenthubs.org.

If you would like someone from Student Hubs to deliver training at your University, please email alice.thornton@studenthubs.org. See also our tailored training programme, HubWorks, which is open to students from across the UK.

As well as training for students involved in volunteering and social action, Student Hubs also offers tailored training and support for external organisations. Please click here for more information.
