Saturday 19th May: 25 for 25 SPRING EDITION
At Turl Street Kitchen we like to source locally anyway, but it's not always easy. That's why, once a season, we give ourselves a challenge and narrow things down to 25 miles and no more. If we can't get deliveries we get on our bikes! This year, we'll be using nettles, and getting our rubber gloves on, picking them ourselves. Foraging aside, this is a great opportunity for us to champion some of the amazing suppliers we have from around the local area as well as finding some new ones.
So on 19th May we will be serving a three course meal of entirely hyper-local food at the bargain price of £25.00 which includes a glass or (surprisingly good) local wine, local beer or some glorious local juice.
Booking is highly recommended - either call us on 01865 264171, book via our website or email book@turlstreetkitchen.co.uk
Oxfringe at the Turl Street Kitchen: 31st May- 9th June
At the Turl Street Kitchen and the Oxford Hub we are excited to welcome some fantastic solo shows and double-acts during the festival. Oxfringe ticket holders can enjoy special drinks deals at the Turl Street Kitchen while upstairs we will be featuring the very best in nerd-comedy, surreal song-writing, giant panda perforamance poetry and scientific magicians.
Highlights include Project Adorno's Cabaret of Curiosities

featuring Philip Jeays, 'a singer-songwriter who has achieved 'semi-cult status' according to the London Evening Standard. Project Adorno share observations on the mundane and the meaningful with songs tackling big issues like 8-bit computer games, library date-stamps and Newsnight. Oliv
er Meech will be bringing us the world premiere of his show 'When Magic and Science Collide,' a comedy magic show for the QI generation. Expect amazing tricks inspired by astounding science. Sarah Archer will be provoking her particular brand of 'hearty belly laughs' (Scotsgay) with her new show 'Constant Craving' which begs the fundamental question, 'do you want to be more than just another noodle in a bowl of pasta?' and Laura King and Oliver Gozzard thrust giant pandas firmly into the limelight with their performance poetry show, 'Panda Pride!'. Joe Fairbrother finishes this smorgasboard of talent with a stand-up show appropriately called 'O Fairbrother, Where Art Thou?'.
Check out the facebook event for details of all the shows and how to buy tickets.
